If you believe it, then work it!
Put your heart where your work is.
You said it, now do it with passion!
Work on what you think is possible, and work it without a doubt.
Even if at the end of the day, it wasn’t as successful as you envisioned it, you would have gained such great experience from it.
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you
ask when you pray, believe that you receive
them, and you will have them – Mark 11:24 NKJV
Peter said “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.” Mark 11:21 NKJV.
Jesus was not surprised at Peter’s findings, because it is exactly what He had expected. Jesus
expected that the fig tree that He had earlier cursed, would be dried up. Jesus explained to Peter,
that there was no doubt in His mind that the tree would be tried up, and He took the opportunity
to give Peter a lesson on faith.
If Jesus would have done the complete opposite, he would have had a beautiful lush fig tree. If
Jesus wanted a fruitful tree, He would have nurtured the tree with kind words, he would tell the
tree that it is a blessing and it shall bear good fruit. He would have ensured that the tree had essential
nutrients, such as sunlight, good soil, and water. He would have groomed the tree, by pruning it to
ensure continued growth for its lifetime.
The expectation of Jesus’ blessing would have been evident in the tree the very next day. Jesus brought
these two poignant points to the conversation: The thing that you curse will remain bare and dried up
and the thing that you bless will flourish and be fruitful. Therefore, take a look over your life and assess
the things, people, and places that are important to you. What words have you used concerning them?
Were the words that have been blessing or cursing? Be intentional about your blessing or cursing, and
see the manifestation of your intention, of your belief.
